Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a strong interest towards space, astronomy and the universe. When I was little, you could’ve often see me laying down reading astronomy books for children, or listen to me ramble about the curiosities of space. And even though I’ve had a ton of other interests and all of them were switching back and forth, astronomy always had this… pull on me. Never letting me go.
As i grew as an artist, there was often a theme in my artworks, which included galaxies and motives from space. It was always on the sidelines though, integrating in my art, but rarely ever properly portrayed.
The beginning of my indulgence in space art dates back to the creation of my bachelor’s thesis – Space-themed authors board game, which I’ve called NOMA. The idea of this project required a ton of space ilustrations, allowing me to regain the spark I’ve always had when it comes to space and art.
After developing a specific artstyle for NOMA and finishing this project, I’ve decided to dabble more in space illustrations, and now I’m trying to learn and discover new ways to portray specific space events and phenomena, and using those illustrations in my other work; mainly more space-themed board games.
